A Better Way to Live Together

We All Want to be Seen, Heard, and Supported

Living in these demanding times can take more out of us than we realize. When family ties or steady routines aren’t there to lean on, it’s easy to feel adrift. Yet underneath that fatigue is a simple truth—we all want to be seen, heard, and supported. Feeling appreciated and connected helps restore our strength.

Possibility of Shared Living

Living successfully with others isn’t rocket science. With the right people and a foundation of mutual respect, it can be supportive, satisfying, and even joyful.

Across the country, more than 37 million adults live alone. For many, sharing a home offers not just affordability but belonging—a gracious, congenial way to live. Some believe harmony in shared spaces is impossible, but with the right people in the right setting, it can become a preferred lifestyle.

Creating Homes That Work

My intention is to partner with others to create group-living homes for unrelated adults—places built on trust, respect, and mutual support. To help people begin, I’ll be offering workshops on successful group living, covering principles such as:

Start with a grateful attitude

Hold a vision of what’s possible

Create baseline agreements and orientation

Handle conflict with care

Define responsibilities clearly

Select residents thoughtfully

Invest in communication and regular tune-ups

If you’ve ever wondered whether shared living could work for you—or you’d simply like to learn more—these workshops are a welcoming place to start.

Together, we can rediscover the satisfaction of living well—with others.

Terry Edlin

Facilitating gatherings for homeowners and home seekers to socialize casually.
I want to provide opportunities for people who desire to live in high-functioning households to socialize with others wanting the same. My method is arranging gatherings where people meet others frequently and casually to get a sense of who they look forward to seeing again.

I will consult with homeowners and home seekers to facilitate sociable, functional, and supportive shared living environments—a bridge to living more graciously.

The keys to making this work:
Selection
Match homeowners with potential housemates, chosen by skill set and chemistry.
Training
Agreements
Monthly facilitated communication tuneups

My Experience:
Hospitality is my superpower, having entertained my entire life and far more than I could prudently afford. I have also been a landlord and co-host an Airbnb that continues to thrive in its 6th year.
